Program & Project Management

Tim has years of experience Program and Project Managing a wide range of agile, time critical projects.  Many of these come from a high end event world, with complex creative and engineering focuses, while others were more focused on complex technical hardware, software and embedded systems. Working with multiple development teams while also having stakeholders throughout large organizations is something that has been a large part of projects he's managed in the past to great success.

Artistic Project Management and Client interaction is another area where Tim excels, being the hub between international brands and talent, executives, large groups of creative leads (directors, designers, choreographers, composers, etc) and technical departments, finding creative solutions to complex issues.  Leading small and large teams, along with dozens of vendors and A-list talent under tight deadlines to pull together an unforgettable event is where he shines. On the commercial side, Tim is very comfortable with taking a client from first contact and idea realization through the entire production process, and is experienced demoing and presenting to executives, VIPs, and senior government officials.

Production & Operations Management

Tim has worked as a Production & Operations Manager for the worlds largest entertainment companies on a diverse range of operations. He has worked with many top creative brands, such as Cirque du Soleil, Lune Rouge, Disney, TAIT, Verity, Blue Man Group, Cirque Dreams, Legends in Concert and Burn the Floor, Norwegian Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean Productions and some of the top artists and creators, along with truly amazing engineers, technicians and technical/operational teams.

He is experienced with complicated large scale productions with significant rigging and automation and in using the latest technology to bring new concepts to life. Being a leader in these kind of complex creations, and transitioning them to successful day to day operations is a challenge that he is uniquely suited for. Whether dealing with staff of hundreds or smaller engineering firms, interfacing with high level VIPs as well as local & federal government officials, Tim is adept and being the bridge between many different fields and keeping everyone on time and on budget to bring world-first operations to life.

Emergency Response

Tim is trained as an EMT and has had 10 years experience designing, planning and managing emergency response for all types of operations, with a special emphasis on unique venues such as Aqua Theatres and Ice Shows and the challenges they bring. He has developed custom training programs for several theatres and completed hands-on training with all staff, which has lead to stronger, safer shows.

In addition, Performance Medicine is an area in which Tim has focused on extensively, as many theatres and companies haven't truly embraced the advantages to both the performer, show and company of a comprehensive prevention and treatment program.  He has been instrumental in researching, implementing and managing several of these programs to great success.

Emerging Technologies

Tim has always been interested in using the latest technology to improve communication and create new possibilities on whatever project he is working on.  In the past this has resulted in designing custom mobile apps for rigging and automation inspections and custom database applications.  This has grown in recent years to a focus on augmented and virtual reality systems.  Especially with augmented reality, the possibilities are truly revolutionary in the conceptual, planning and execution of projects and the possibilities it allows for enhancing support.  Having the final project come together in front of your eyes in a collaborative experience truly is a game changer.

Automation & Rigging

Tim is an ETCP certified Rigger and Automation professional with 12 years of experience with large automation installations & experience fabricating, programming, operating, and maintaining the latest stage automation and performer flying software & hardware solutions from the top manufacturers worldwide.

Most recently, he has worked in both Automation and Rigging with Cirque du Soleil at KA. Previously, as Safer Venue Manager at Chicago Flyhouse, he designed & managed a comprehensive rigging and automation training program that was customized to each client's exact systems and needs (which generally amounted to more than 30 hours of individual, on-site training by our trainers).

These skills in embeded systems, hardware, software, networking and programming have ranged not just across Rigging and Automation, but extended into his recent work at Verity, the worldwide leader in autonomous indoor drone shows and systems.

Tim is a strong believer in using the latest technology to ensure the safety of these complex systems and our casts & crews is at the same high level that we strive for creatively and technically.  He has lead several programs to this effect across multiple companies, using custom mobile inspection apps for the riggers, automation technicians and performers to quickly and efficiently check every item, with integrated support so that they have an answer to any question before the curtain even goes up.

Stage Management

Tim has 12 years of Stage Management experience from large musicals with a cast and crews of over 100 to aqua theatres, spectacles, fashion, industrials, and dance.  He excels at complex show calls with automation & performer flying, while having a great ability to be the bridge between artistic and technical.

He is calm under pressure, organized and efficient while retaining a constant positive friendly attitude. and is experienced with quickly stepping into last minute situations.
